Today is a bit of a nothing day.
Went for a walk near the hotel, into an area we hadn’t visited. Few shops but not much else.
Cold and damp and uninviting.
Taxi to our new hotel. Not sure if the driver was muttering to himself, or talking into his mobile. Certainly wasn’t talking to us.
New hotel is Hilton Danube Waterfront, under cloudy skies, and cold.
Went for a walk to the nearby shops.
Did i mention the dogs, and unfriendliest dog people I have ever met? Had to shoot these on the run, because he wouldn’t smile or even pause. i had two coats and these little ones none. Would loved to have given them a hug to warm them up. Cresteds are not meant for this weather
Then off we go again, walking round Vienna:
Hofburg Palace, Imperial Boulevards, St Stephen’s Cathedral and ‘Am Hof’
Extra gossip on one of the fountains we visited before:
The sponsor, whose apartment overlooked the fountain, and the artist had a falling out, and he would not make the final payment, so the sculptor placed the last item with his bum pointing to the sponsor’s windows.
